From Our Routine to Yours

We’re not sleep scientists — just a brother and sister duo who are recovering mouth breathers. We’ve lived through the super groggy mornings, caffeine dependencies, and the constant search for what actually works.

After years of trying every hack and supplement, we realized the problem wasn’t just products — it was our habits. Our choices (often bad ones).

We built SleepHabits to help people build a stronger foundation for better sleep, starting with how we breathe.

Whether you're an athlete, student, parent, or just tired of being tired — this is for you.

Take your sleep seriously (without taking yourself too seriously).

About Us

Breathing and Sleep: The Real Foundations of Health

SleepHabits was founded around a simple idea: better breathing leads to better sleep, and better sleep improves nearly everything else.

Most people think about health through the lens of diet and exercise. But without consistent, quality sleep — those efforts never reach full potential. Sleep and breathing are upstream factors that quietly influence everything from cognitive performance to hormone regulation to long-term disease risk.

We're here to help people understand that—and make small, sustainable habits that actually improve it.

In Partnership with Sierra Sleep & Sierra Smiles

SleepHabits is proud and grateful to partner with Sierra Sleep and Sierra Smiles, clinical leaders in sleep/airway health and progressive dentistry.

Founded by John and Jen Bocchi, their practices have helped thousands of patients address underlying sleep and breathing issues that often go unrecognized by conventional medicine.

Our shared mission is simple: educate people on the central role of breathing and sleep in lifelong health, and provide tools that support positive habit change.

How This Started

We’re a family-founded brand—siblings Brooke and Brenden, along with our cousin Jason—and the first thing that brought us here was actually a joke.

We used to take photos of each other mouth-breathing while asleep on planes, couches, road trips—you name it. It was funny until we learned what it actually meant!

Those open-mouthed photos were signs of poor sleep posture. Of low oxygen intake. Of possible mild to severe sleep apnea. Headaches, grogginess, and restless nights started to make a bit more sense. And once we connected the dots between breathing and sleep quality, here we are today!

Literally us sleeping on the way to James Nestor’s Breathing Retreat to learn about the terribly negative effects that mouth breathing has on our health!

The Research Is Clear

Mouth breathing during sleep is associated with increased risk of snoring, sleep-disordered breathing, dry mouth, cavities, and fragmented sleep.

Nasal breathing supports nitric oxide production, better oxygen absorption, proper oral posture, and more restorative sleep.

Mild, undiagnosed sleep apnea and disordered breathing are increasingly recognized as major contributors to metabolic dysfunction, hypertension, and mood disruption. Sleep apnea has become increasingly prevalent, now affecting an estimated 30 million adults in the United States. Alarmingly, only about 6 million of these individuals have been formally diagnosed, leaving a significant number unaware of their condition.

The health implications of untreated sleep apnea are significant, including increased risks of high blood pressure, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and depression.

These issues often go unnoticed—but they’re not uncommon.

Why We Built SleepHabits

We wanted to build a business around a product that we personally used and loved. Mouth tape seemed crazy a few years ago, but we believed in the way it made us feel and the positive impact it had on our sleep. After reading Breath by James Nestor and attending a breathing retreat with some of the world's best breathers and coaches, we knew that more people needed to know about this “lost art”.

That experience opened our eyes to what many cultures have known for thousands of years: how you breathe shapes how you feel. In ancient Eastern philosophy, this is known as Chi—the vital life force that supports our health, energy, and balance. And it starts with your breath.

This is biology in its simplest form. When you breathe well (deep and slow), especially through your nose, you sleep more deeply, recover more effectively, and move through the day with greater clarity and intent.

Our mission became clear: help more people reconnect with this forgotten foundation of health.

What SleepHabits Provides

SleepHabits exists to support habit shifts that improve our health and vitality. We're here to support better breathing and sleep routines through useful tools and ongoing, progressive education.

Our products include:

  1. Restore - The world’s first Nitric Oxide powered deep sleep & recovery supplement (powered by plant based nitrates and essential sleep nutrients)
  2. The X Mouth Tape (Amazon’s former #1 snore-reducing aid)
  3. The Roll Mouth Tape (Hydrating and great for sensitive skin)
  4. Eucalyptus, Lavender, and Unscented Nasal Strips (open up nasal airways for improved airflow)

Each product was developed to support consistent nasal breathing at night— with small, habitual reinforcement.

Breathe & Sleep Better Now

A Healthier Way Forward

We believe people deserve to understand how breathing and sleep function at a deeper level. That’s why we are building an education center focused on the science of nasal breathing, airway health, and continuous sleep improvement. It’s not about being perfect – not at all. It’s about choosing to make the right choices and habits that lead to you feeling better day in and day out.

If you’re curious, skeptical, or just tired of feeling tired—there’s a path forward. We’re just here to help point you towards it.
